Iskender
Iskender is a traditional dish of Turkish cuisine
It was first prepared in a city in the northwest of Turkey called Bursa in 1867. It got its name in the 19th century during the Ottoman Empire after Mr. Iskender. Although the basic ingredient of Iskendera is meat, which is also used for doner, the charm of Iskendera itself is the topping of tomato sauce and melted butter, sour cream and traditional Turkish bread. The meat used to prepare Iskender is the best quality chicken meat.
